William Shatner

William Alan Shatner (born March 22, 1931) is a Canadian actress, musician, artist and writer. He gained fame around the world and has become a cultural icon for his portrayal of James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise, is a science fiction television series Star Trek: 1966-1969, Star Trek: The Animated Series 1973-1974, and after seven in the film Star Trek from 1979 to 1994. He has written several books recounts his experiences playing Captain Kirk, and is part of Star Trek and is co-author of several novels set for the Star Trek universe. He has also written several science fiction novels called TekWar which was adapted for television.

Shatner played the same name, a veteran police sergeant TJ Hooker, 1982-1986. Since then he has worked as a writer, musician, producer, director, and celebrity pitchman. From 2004 to 2008 he starred in the drama practice attorney Denny Crane TV and its spin-off Boston Legal, for which she won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe.
