Vince Young

Vincent Paul Young, Jr. (born May 18, 1983), nicknamed "VY",  is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL). He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans. Young was the third overall draft pick in 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Texas. In his rookie season was a young man named NFL offensive rookie of the year and received a spot on the team list to the AFC Pro Bowl. In 2009, Young earned his second Pro Bowl selection and was named Sporting News NFL Comeback Player of the year.

While in college, Young finished second behind Reggie Bush Heisman Trophy voting, honor then vacated. He won the Davey O'Brien, awarded annually to the best collegiate player builder of the nation. After the Heisman voting, Young led the team in the BCS national championship defense against BCS champion University of Southern California, in 2006, the Rose Bowl. The game was called an advance in the history of college football games.  Texas retired Young's jersey August 30, 2008.
